Takco, one of the largest building companies in Vietnam, have utilized Resilmount’s M50R and M24R sound isolation mounts in their recent construction of Hong Bang International University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The isolation mounts are designed to prevent noise and vibrations in sensitive areas and have been used in lecture theaters and music halls for the project. Achieving an STC (Sound Transmission Coefficient) of 63 and IIC (Impact Isolation Class) of 61.
The M50R Suspended Ceiling Mount performs well above Australian standards to stop sound transfer from the space above, so students can enjoy the benefits of an A class acoustic system. Chosen over the specified German sound isolation mounts for the project, the patented natural polymer design of Studco Resilmounts hold their own in international quality standards and set the level for high performing isolation mounts in Australia.
The Studco Australia logistics team worked closely with Takco to carefully ensure a timely delivery of the product and compliance with the intricacies of Vietnam Customs requirements. Our customer focused logistics team is committed to going over and above to meet the needs of our customers, whether it be managing overseas deliveries and customs of special site requirements here.
Studco pride ourselves as being a solution partner to our customers and look to provide them with the best outcome on their projects.

As BIM (Building Information Modelling) continues to change to the way we design and construct new buildings, EZCONCEPT is pleased to announce the arrival of comprehensive BIM files for EZYJamb and EZYPelmet products in the popular Autodesk Revit format.
After careful collaboration with architects, builders and BIM specialists, EZCONCEPT has ‘test driven’ the new BIM files on several recent projects and been given the thumbs up by all stakeholders involved. BIM is a powerful 3D CAD process that is used to create, plan and document buildings and constructions in the modern digital age in which we live, with many architectural studios requesting high-quality, data-rich BIM families for popular products in order to avoid costly mistakes on site.
EZCONCEPT BIM objects feature parametric design settings which easily integrate EZYJamb into any wall and EZYPelmet into any ceiling and gives you the flexibility to simply modify the object to create project specific drawing details. EZCONCEPT’s BIM files are available for free download from Studco’s website www.ezconcept.com.au. EZCONCEPT BIM includes 3D and 2D representations of each object together with embedded product data to support the specification and provide a ‘life-of-building’ audit trail.
At this stage, only EZYJamb Classic Adjust (EZC) flush finish door jambs with hirline hinge or concealed hinges are available in Revit files. More EZYJamb profiles coming soon. Custom BIM objects and details are available on request from the in-house BIM experts at EZCONCEPT.
EZCONCEPT has also taken the opportunity to refresh the many popular 2D and 3D CAD files for EZYJamb and EZYPelmet, which are also available for free download.
Watch this space as more BIM files are rolled out for products from the EZCONCEPT and Studco range.
A breakthrough in high-performance internal wall systems, the new Studco Vortex Internal Wall System improves the behaviour of the wall structure in high-rise buildings.

Studco’s involvement in the major redevelopment of the Margaret Court Arena helps give the Australian Open its third retractable roof tennis court at the Melbourne Park complex.
As part of the $700 million redevelopment of the Melbourne and Olympic Parks events precinct, the Margaret Court Arena has undergone a significant transformation including the erection of a 9 metre high acoustic perimeter wall and the installation of the fastest operable roof in the world which will allow the stadium to operate in all weather environments.
The project presented some of the most complex challenges ever seen by Studco: extreme roof deflection in two directions, rigorous acoustic performance, enormous free-spanning wall heights intersecting with a multi-faceted roof structure, and punishing wind pressures. To complicate matters further, the 2014 Australian Open was held at the site halfway through the two year build program.
Overcoming these formidable obstacles was achieved using a collaborative approach under the direction of builder Lend Lease and the use of innovative technologies including Studco’s real-time 3D CAD modelling and computer-based acoustic simulations. Routine weekly inspections then followed up to ensure correct installation and design compliance.
Thousands of custom-rolled 150mm steel studs were used in a chase wall configuration in conjunction with
Resilmount M24R chase wall resilient brackets to create the main wall structure around the stadium. The wall was then lined with USG Boral Fibrerock and Multistop lining boards along with a variety of different feature panelling components.
This design achieved significant cost savings from the original design, made on-site handling of materials easier and improved overall build efficiencies. It also removed the need for many heavy, fabricated structural steel sections using innovative combinations of Studco’s lightweight steel sections.
Studco’s involvement in the Margaret Court Arena project continues the long term association Studco has with Major Projects Victoria including the Melbourne Markets in Epping, Hamer Hall Redevelopment, AgriBio Centre at Latrobe University, the Melbourne Recital Centre and The Australian Synchrotron.
