For 40 years, Studco® has played a part in the construction of Australian builds great and small. As an Australian manufacturer, we are proud to have our innovative systems integrated in so many projects over the last four decades, and to continue to supply new and upcoming construction projects. Here’s a snapshot from some of our more recent projects.

Sapphire by the Gardens – Melbourne, Victoria

One of Melbourne’s most recognisable apartment buildings, near the CBD’s most northern point. Sapphire by the Gardens is easily spotted by the connecting gold-coloured bridge between twin residential towers, each 60 storeys high. Sapphire by the Gardens is a shining example of Australian Made quality; constructed using Studco’s steel framing systems, concealed ceiling systems, and sliding cavity doors.

Both the residential and hotel lobbies are framed by a three storey glazed void which offers stunning spectacular views of the Carlton Gardens and accompanying Royal Exhibition Building, a World Heritage-listed staple of life in Melbourne.

Upper House by Aria – South Brisbane, Queensland

Rising out of the South Brisbane Skyline, Upper House is a uniquely designed tower. The hallmark of this project is the flowing, external architecture that has been inspired by the natural flora of tropical Queensland. The internal design of the tower incorporates a spacious visual quality.

The attention to detail within each apartment sets Upper House by Aria apart from other high-rise towers in Queensland. The addition of curved walls softens the aesthetic within these spaces. The curves reflect Upper House’s external façade and tie into the overall inspiration of Queensland’s natural landscape.

Upper House was Queensland’s first residential building to achieve a 5-Star Green Star As-Built certification. A statement piece by Koichi Takada Architects, it has the accolades to match the reputation of the acclaimed architect. Upper House took home 3 awards at the Innovation & Excellence Awards, including: The Australian Development of the Year 2025, Best Public Art Project, and Best Residential Development.

Growing Home – Avalon, New South Wales

A modern, luxurious house built for quiet and cozy living, and the dream family home for an Australian television personality. This project was designed with a focus on sustainability and Australian manufactured products. To fit the build, EZ Concept’s flush door systems were used throughout the home, including the EzyJamb® Frameless Door Jamb system, and SlideSet® Cavity Slider system.

EZ Concept’s products not only the gentle curved aesthetic design of the home interior, they were a sustainable choice. These systems are comprised of at least 20% recycled steel, making them a durable and environmentally responsible option, in addition to being Australian Made certified systems.

Gawler Hospital Emergency Department – Gawler, SA

The refurbishment of the Gawler Hospital Emergency Department gives local residents easy access to medical care These changes to the hospital have tripled the capacity of the emergency department and improved inpatient flow. Patients will be able to access the hospital more easily and in greater comfort, with the addition of an undercover arrivals area, and a dedicated entry and exit driveway for ambulances. As part of the refurbishment, Studco ceiling systems were used to form the spectacular new ceiling.

Over the last 40 years, Studco has become the trusted partner of builders and contractors working on healthcare and medical facilities. Across the nation, Studco has provided cost-effective, tailor-made solutions for critical health infrastructure, like Gawker Hospital.

Barker College – Hornsby, New South Wales

Barker College’s rejuvenation has included a range of Australian Made Certified products. Throughout the school, Studco Stud and Track framing systems were used to construct classrooms and breakout spaces. This framing works in conjunction with large timber beams to create an architectural feel. Similarly, EzyJamb Single Rebate jambs were included to subtly conceal service doors.

The spaces created are reflective of a modern classroom. The open design, timber structures, and large windows link classrooms and learning areas to the surrounding environment. A project with sustainability baked into the design helps to instil the importance of sustainable design into future generations.

Infinity Views – Bicton, Western Australia

A three-story modern home, overlooking the Swan River, this house was designed to take advantage of one of Perth’s most stunning locations. Modern and minimalist architecture sets the interior apart, creating light and open spaces that bring the natural surrounding beauty indoors. In choosing Australian Made products by EZ Concept®, the builder could rely on the quality of local production and Australian steel. The tailored options manufactured by Studco added to the flow of the space, which is unencumbered by the clean lines created by these systems.

High Street Apartments – Preston, Victoria

High Street Apartments is a strong example of Studco partnering with Australian builders to help deliver outstanding project outcomes. Working alongside Kapitol Group, this project strongly focused on lean construction principles. Studco manufactured pre-cut steel studs in-house, all certified under Australian Made Certification. This approach helped reduce both construction time and material waste across the build’s 18 storeys and 235 modern apartments, while also contributing to a cleaner, safer, and more efficient worksite.

The proactive and innovative mindset demonstrated throughout the project reflects the strength of Australian construction and manufacturing capabilities, as well as the global reputation associated with Australian Made products and standards.
As a result, the partnership between Kapitol Group and Studco proved to be an ideal fit, delivering efficiency, quality, and innovation throughout the project.
