Emerge Women and Children’s Support Network has been running for over 40 years, doing vital work in the community supporting women and children who have experienced family violence by empowering them to rebuild their lives. It was an honour for Studco^® to participate in the recent Emerge Graduate Community Project, spearheaded by Multiplex.

As part of this project, Studco collaborated with Multiplex and other trade and consultant partners to refit Emerge’s space and ensure it is a safe and welcoming environment in which their important work can take place. Prior to the refit, they had been working out of the warehouse without the necessary funding needed to upgrade it appropriately. In order to rectify this, Multiplex’ graduate team spearheaded the project to refit and revitalise Emerge’s space to ensure it is fit-for-purpose. The graduate team did an exceptional job bringing it to life. The building required a long list of improvements including new flooring, insulation, and office equipment, but of course it required the framework to make these upgrades possible.

As our contribution, Studco donated the premium wall framing and concealed ceiling systems, alongside the compliant designs which allowed the program upgrades to go ahead.

We now have an environment that’s safe for our team, safe for our clients, and it’s meant that we can provide more services for vulnerable people.

This project had a fantastic outcome. With Emerge Women & Children’s Support Network facilities upgraded from the framing up, they were able to move back into their offices and continue their vital family support services. The space is now a warm, safe, and comfortable environment for families and staff alike.

For Studco, it was a fantastic opportunity to engage with and support our local community, which is a cornerstone of our philosophy. By using premium Australian steel, and products manufactured in Australia, to assist in such a vital local service, this project was a key example of supporting the Australian community from the ground up.
